The World Expo building that beguiles as The Westin

Housed in a glorious art deco building in a peaceful neighbourhood, the Westin Hotel Valencia offers superior comfort, premium facilities and a sophisticated atmosphere within one of the most acclaimed luxury hotels in Valencia. Shining parquet flooring, gleaming columns and emerald gardens await in this beguiling Mediterranean sanctuary.

The location

A few minute's walks from the lush Turia Gardens and Mestalla Football Stadium, the grand Modernist building lies on the north side of the old river in a quiet, family-orientated neighbourhood. Its tranquil, discreet setting makes it feel a world away from the city, despite lying just a kilometre from Valencia Cathedral and Old Town. Relax in your secret haven or explore the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, just a short bike ride from the regal hotel.

The design

Light, spacious and elegant, this gleaming art deco building was originally built for the World Expo of 1909 and, since then, has played many roles, including a textile factory, Fire Brigade headquarters and National Police Horse stables. The grand facade was finally reimagined by Valencian architect José María Tomás Llavador as a remarkable five-star hotel in 2007 and has remained one of the city’s most exclusive hotels ever since.

Upon entering the Westin through the glamorous marble-clad lobby, admire the vast Swarovski crystal chandelier, the grand columns supporting the high vaulted ceilings, and the verdant glimpses of sun-kissed Mediterranean gardens waiting just outside.

The facilities

This hotel often hosts visiting football teams, international conferences and A-list actors, and, as such, their facilities are designed to impress the most esteemed of guests. In the luxurious spa, bask in a 25m2 therapy pool, soak in the steaming Turkish bath, or indulge in a personalised treatment in one of eight private treatment rooms.

After a succulent dinner in one of the two acclaimed restaurants, head to the casino for a date with Lady Luck, to the H-club bar for handcrafted cocktails, or relax with a good book in the palm-fringed gardens or the Arabic-style terraces nearby.

The rooms

With a collection of 135 sun-flooded rooms decorated in art-deco style, you can enjoy the luxury of a private terrace, an elegant balcony, or even an in-suite jacuzzi. Every room enjoys a warm and welcoming atmosphere, air conditioning, a mini-bar filled with premium drinks, satellite TV and an exclusive Westin Heavenly Bed - the perfect recipe for an incredible night’s sleep.

Bright, spacious, and colourful, the rooms offer a compelling combination of retro intrigue and modern, sophisticated luxury. From vividly coloured frescos showing typical Valencian themes to brightly striped wallpaper and re-upholstered antique furniture, every suite feels unique and yet distinctly Valencian.

Food and drink

The Westin offers a collection of exquisite restaurants and cool bars clustered around their romantic gardens. Enjoy a buffet breakfast under the sun in Rosmarino, a charming terrace restaurant adorned with honey-hued wood and aquamarine screens.

On El Jardi’s informal terrace, you’ll savour traditional Mediterranean dishes, Valencian specialities, fine local wines and signature cocktails. For a business meeting, dress to impress at Komori restaurant, a sophisticated setting where skilled chefs blend Japanese tradition with Mediterranean produce.
